In summary the rules are:
The hike is 56 mile circular course, visiting checkpoints in the correct order,
within 24 hours starting at 12:00 noon on the Saturday.
Open to any person over 18 years on the day of the event, or with approval of
parent/guardian and prior arrangement.
Strong walking boots are recommended and each hiker must carry map (1" OS Tourist map 'Peak District'), compass, whistle,
torch (inc. spare batteries & bulb), waterproof jacket & trousers, spare sweater and socks,
emergency rations, mug, emergency rations, first aid kit and front and rear reflective
patches for night walking.
Hikers must walk in groups after dusk.
Hikers must only retire at road side checkpoints.
Hikers must respect farmers land, property and the country code.
